FAQs
Do you sell wholesale?
Yes, I do sell wholesale to bead stores, galleries, and designers. Please see the Wholesale info page for more details
How long will my order take to arrive?
Most orders will be shipped within 2-3 weeks of receiving it. If it will take longer because it is a big order or another reason, I will contact you by phone or e-mail with an estimated date. Most beads are made to order or are customized to your specific needs, so one to two firings are required for each order. Please remember that each bead in this catalog is made by hand by only one person and I can't easily accept rush orders.
Can I come visit your studio/store?
Sorry, I do not have a storefront or a open studio. I value my home as my private space, and do not allow customers to visit. You can see me at one of the many shows where I sell, though. Check out the Schedule page for show dates and locations.
Can I still order beads from the old catalog?
In order to keep my work fresh, I have discontinued some beads from the old catalog and web sites, and I won't be making them in quantity anymore. Check the Etsy shops for occasional sales or small runs of older stock.
Please note that this web site catalog now supersedes any old catalog pricing and prices are subject to change without notice.
Do you have a printed catalog?
Sorry, I am not planning a print catalog at this time. This web site is the only catalog.
What is your return policy?
Return inquiries must be made within 30 days from time of receipt and require approval. Mistakes made by Earthenwood Studio will be corrected at no charge. Because of the handcrafted nature of my items, most shipments are considered custom orders and may vary from batch to batch. Please contract me right away if you are unhappy with your order, and all reasonable efforts will be made to correct the situation.
What is your privacy policy?
I hate spam and junk mail as much as you do, and I also value our privacy. I will not sell, rent, or give your personal information to any other party. I may add your email to our occasional newsletter mailing list if you have contacted Earthenwood Studio or made a purchase from me. You may opt out of the newsletter mailing list at any time by contacting me or choosing to unsubscribe through newsletter. Any phone or mail order information is done in-house by me directly, and I take great care with your private information.
Are porcelain beads fragile? How are they made?
My porcelain beads, charms, and buttons are fired to high temperatures, which make them very strong, similar to glass. They are very unlikely to chip and break with normal use. I travel all around with my beads and wear them all the time, and they are very sturdy, even for clumsy folks like me! That being said, I must add:
WARNINGS
Theses products are made of fired ceramic, which is a combination of clay and glass. Any materials made of ceramic can break, if the objects are impacted, breakage could occur, and result in injury. If, in any case, breakage does occur, please be aware that broken edges are sharp, and could be a cause of cut injuries, and take appropriate care accordingly.
